Jennifer McCurdy

Executive Director
(ex-officio non voting member)

Jennifer McCurdy joined the Foundation as part-time Executive Director in November 2022. Prior to this role, she spent 14 years with the St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce, the last four as President and CEO before retiring in 2020. Following her retirement, Jennifer supported the St. Albert Sturgeon Hospice Association on a part-time basis, helping establish their administrative offices.

Her work with the Foundation reflects a deep personal commitment to the wellbeing of the communities it serves. Jennifer believes the Foundation has long been one of St. Albert’s best-kept secrets, and she is passionate about helping expand its presence and impact in the region. She’s especially excited about the opportunity to help grow and build the Foundation’s reach and capacity.

Jennifer brings strong skills in relationship-building, communication, and collaboration—strengths developed during her time at the Chamber and through extensive community involvement. She has served on several local boards, including as Chair of the Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert, Community Services and Membership Chair with the St. Albert Rotary Club, and a member of the T8N 100 Women Steering Committee.
Jennifer and her husband moved to St. Albert in 1993 and quickly fell in love with the community. After moving across six provinces in eight years, they chose St. Albert to raise their family. Today, they enjoy watching their grandchildren grow up in the city they proudly call home.

Her favourite Foundation moment? The fall cheque presentations – seeing donor generosity in action.
