Aaron Friedenthal is a lawyer at ATB Financial, where he leads the Legal Services and Corporate Governance teams. He supports the ATB Board of Directors and serves as Corporate Secretary for ATB’s wealth management and investment banking subsidiaries. A recognized voice in his field, Aaron is also the Chair of the Edmonton Chapter of the Governance Professionals of Canada and a regular speaker on corporate governance topics.

In addition to his professional work, Aaron is actively involved in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Cantilon Choral Music Society and is a trustee committee member for ATB’s Retirement Committee, which oversees the organization’s pension plans and funds.

Aaron’s roots in the St. Albert community run deep—his family has been part of the area since 1973. He is married to Heather, a teacher in St. Albert, and they have two children who have grown up in the St. Albert Public School system. On weekends, you might spot Aaron walking in the river valley or playing a round of golf in the area—though he’ll admit his golf game could use some work.

Aaron is proud to continue serving the St. Albert and Sturgeon County communities through the work of the Foundation, building on his past involvement with the Canadian Progress Club.
