Andre Charrois

Foundation Treasurer

Andre Charrois brings over 32 years of experience in the insurance industry to the St. Albert Sturgeon Community Foundation. For 22 of those years, he was a major shareholder and Managing Partner at Foster Park Brokers. Following the firm’s acquisition by NFP/AON, Andre served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Western Canada – Commercial, overseeing commercial operations across the region until his retirement in November 2025. He is a graduate of Lakeland College’s Business Management program.

Joining the Foundation had been a long-standing goal for Andre. Drawn to organizations where community is the focus, he sees the Foundation as a powerful vehicle for understanding and addressing the diverse needs of nonprofits in the region. He is passionate about building and growing SASCF to ensure lasting community impact.

Andre brings extensive business acumen to the board, with strengths in leadership, budget management, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem-solving. Outside of his professional background, he has been an active community volunteer—coaching youth sports, managing teams, and serving on numerous boards. His current roles include Vice President of the Canadian Foundation for Food and Agriculture Education, Chairman of the Rotary Employment Partnership Project Steering Committee, International Chair of the St. Albert Rotary Club, and Future District Governor for Rotary District 5370 (2027–2028).

Born in St. Albert and raised in Legal, Andre eventually returned to St. Albert with his wife Lynne to raise their family. They have built a life rooted in community and are proud parents of two adult children, Laura and Patrick. One of Andre’s most cherished moments with the Foundation is presenting grants to local organizations—a powerful reminder of the meaningful impact SASCF has on the community.
