Gagné Family Music Scholarship

“Together we carry the tune forward.”

The Gagné Family Music Scholarship was created in honour of the musicians in their family who shared the lifelong gift of music—especially their grandmother, Delia Gagné, whose joyful fiddle playing shaped their heritage and their hearts.

Rooted in her love of traditional Canadian fiddle music, this scholarship is dedicated to preserving and celebrating that rich musical legacy.

Each year, presented through the St. Albert Rotary Music Festival, the scholarship supports young musicians who show passion, talent, and commitment to learning and carrying forward the traditions of Canadian fiddling. By providing financial assistance for lessons, camps, instruments, or musical development, the family hopes to inspire the next generation to keep this vibrant cultural art form alive.

Each award is a celebration of the Gagné family’s heritage and a commitment to nurturing the musicians of tomorrow. Through this scholarship, they hope to share the same gift their grandmother gave them — the love of music, community, and culture.
