Sandra Fenton

Board Director

Sandra Fenton is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with over three decades of experience in financial management. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Lakehead University in 1985 and received her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 1989, transitioning to the CPA designation in 2015 following the merger of Canada’s accounting bodies.

Sandra joined the Community Foundation Board to support its mission of building lasting legacies for the community’s long-term well-being. She was drawn to the Foundation’s vision of making meaningful, sustainable contributions to the region she and her family call home.

Her accounting expertise supports the Foundation’s operations—from bookkeeping to audit preparation—and her experience with other nonprofit boards contributes valuable insight into event planning and fundraising.

Sandra moved to St. Albert in 1996 with her husband and son, later welcoming their daughter in 1999. Since then, she has become a deeply engaged community volunteer. Her service includes 10 years on the City of St. Albert’s Assessment Review and Subdivision Appeal Boards, leadership roles with the Northern Alberta International Children’s Festival, the Alberta 55+ Winter Games, school councils, and local and provincial ringette associations. She also supports the arts through her work with the Rotary Music Festival and as treasurer of the St. Albert Cultivates the Arts Society. A proud Rotarian since 2014, Sandra embodies the spirit of community service and leadership in everything she does.
