Wally Monson has spent over 25 years as a Financial Planner with IG Wealth Management, bringing a wealth of financial expertise and community insight to everything he does.

Wally was invited to join the Community Foundation Board nearly 25 years ago by founder Kent Davidson. For him, it was a meaningful opportunity to give back to a community that has given him so much. With a strong background in financial planning and deep connections across the region, Wally has contributed both strategic guidance and fundraising support to the Foundation’s mission.

A proud resident of St. Albert for more than 50 years, Wally has long-standing ties to the community and a deep commitment to its wellbeing. In addition to his role with the Foundation, he served on the board of the Sturgeon Hospital Foundation for 10 years, helping support health care initiatives and improvements that continue to benefit residents.

Wally’s long-term service reflects his dedication to building a strong, vibrant future for St. Albert and Sturgeon County. His financial knowledge, community involvement, and passion for giving back make him a valued member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
